!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SHE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life just got so much better!! The love of my life got home today! I feel bad that she wasn't able to stay in Romania for as long as she wanted, but it is sooooo nice to have her back! I know she did so many great things while in Romania and the people there will be forever grateful! It is so nice to have her here in the US where the doctors are good and she will be safe! I just bought plane tickets yesterday to go out to Las Vegas next weekend, so that is going to make life even better! Man, life just keeps getting better all the time! I love you Katie and I can't wait to see you next weekend!

What a great day!

So yesterday turned out to be a great day! I had work in the morning and they was way fun and then BYU football won. It wasn't a very good game, but we came out with the win! And then last night was the highlight of the day/week/past couple of weeks haha!! I got to talk to Katie on google talk. Google talk is a program that allows you to talk to other people from anywhere in the world. It is totally free and it's as if you were talking on a cell phone and the other person is just down the street!! It was so fun! She is doing really well! We were able to talk for about an hour and a half and it was so fun! I was just so excited to hear her cute voice! We decided that we will be able to talk on google talk about once a week! So i'm excited for that. It's like it will be a goal for me to work really hard during the week with classes and then I can talk to her and end the week on the best note ever! But i'm just excited i got to talk to her and wanted to tell everyone about it! I love you Katie!!

First Day of School!!!!

So this past tuesday, Richie and I had our first day of school. It's our junior year now at college. But this year's "first day of school" was a lot different than our other "first days of school". In years past, and I won't mention when they were haha, but we would just cry and run after our mom's car after she would drop us off haha. And we would ask her things like, when are you going to pick us up and then she would tell us what time, and then we would say "Are you lying to us mom?" haha. We were what you could say, "momma's boys". But I think we've matured a little bit since those days haha. We couldn't pass up the chance to take pictures of our "first day of school" to bring back some of those funny memories! Thanks mom and dad for putting up with those ridiculous times haha, we love you both so much!

BYU Football!!

So yesterday we had our season opener against Northern Iowa. They aren't too good of a team, but they are one of the top teams in the country for division 2! We beat them 41-17, so we took care of business, but for a time we didn't play too well. We didn't take care of the ball very well for a period of time which lead to only a 10 point margin. But then we picked it up and put them away! Go Cougars!

A Little Reminder to The World of Who I Get to Marry!

So when I was down in Las Vegas before Katie left for Europe and Romania, we got to take engagement pictures!! It was so much fun. Katie had gone down to a certain part in Vegas the day before we took them, and found lots of really bright colored walls and made a list of them so we could go and take pictures there. She did a great job at finding great places for the pictures. The lady who took them is in Katie's home ward and was so nice to help us out with them. She did such a great job, as you can tell from the pictures. Here are a few of them...

Change of Scenery

It's been a long time since I've blogged but there is a good reason for it. I was in Las Vegas spending the weekend with Katie and her family before Katie and her mom left to go tour Europe! (You can see all of her pictures on her blog!!!!). But we had a blast there in Las Vegas. We bought wedding anouncements, we took our engagement pictures, we went golfing, we saw the new batman movie, we saw another play, we scheduled our honeymoon to hawaii, and lots of other stuff, so we had a great time there!

And now I have moved into a new apartment. I stayed with pretty much the same roommates that I had last year so that is nice, but we moved into the "Raintree Apartments". They are nice, but kinda old. The nice thing is that we don't pay as much for these as we did for our last apartment, so that is nice! But I took some pictures of the apartment for all to see. Here they are:

This is the kitchen. This is a lot smaller than our last kitchen and there's like have the storage space too, so that kinda stinks, but we are figuring out ways to make it work with 6 guys!

And this is our living room. Its kinda small but we have a little balcony, so that's pretty cool!

This is our little kitchen area. Not too exciting, but maybe we can put our orioles banner up on the wall. That would make it exciting!

And this is where I get my "shut-eye". This is before we organized. Don't worry mom, we have cleaned it up since the picture haha!

This is our closet before we started to organize everything too.

So that is the apartment. It is going to be my home for the next 5 months, and then...I'm getting married!!!!!! Then I get to be eternal roommates with my best friend Katie! I can't wait! It's going to be the best eternity ever!

For Katie!!!!

Katie I love you so much and there is no way that I will ever forget that you love me. I love you so much and will be thinking about you the whole time you are in Romania. I am so excited for you to have such a great experience. I support you in all that you are doing! I love you so much and I don't want you to ever forget that!

Lots of fun...

So a couple of weeks ago, before I flew to Maryland, the missionaries that I was teaching at the MTC gave me a nice present! They knew that I was planning on proposing to Katie while I was there, so they gave me a proposal survival kit! It was really nice and they had an explanation for each item! I had three sister missionaries in the district and I'm pretty sure that they were the masterminds behind it, but it was really cool and it helped me get through the proposal, haha.

After spending a wonderful week and a half in Maryland, I am now with Katie's family in St. George, Utah. Katie's grandparents have a second home here and so we are spending a couple of days enjoying the 100 + degree weather and going to a musical and a Shakespeare play. The plays were very entertaining and I definitely feel more cultured! On Friday night we saw the musical, The Sound of Music. That is one of my favorites, so I really liked it. But it was outdoors and at 11:30 p.m. when the play ended, I was sweating because it was still so hot. Then tonight we went to Cedar City and saw the Shakespeare play, The Two Gentlemen of Verona. I had never seen it before so I thought it was going to be hard to understand like all the other Shakespearean plays, but it wasn't too bad and I was able to understand it. It was also a lot cooler than last night, so I wasn't sweating the whole time, which helped me to focus. These past couple of days have been very fun and relaxing, especially when we were in the air conditioning!

We're Engaged!!!!!

So the first day started off great with a fishing trip and then it couldn't have ended better! I was showing Katie around Hereford, the town that I grew up in and then we took a walk on a bike trail next to the Gunpowder River. It was really pretty with all the trees around and then I asked her to marry me! She said yes, thank goodness! She is so great and I am so lucky to have her in my life and I'm so excited to marry her! Here are some pictures of the engagement:

Fishin' With My Girl!

Well Katie has arrived! I'm so excited to have her here in Maryland. Our first day started off with a nice fishing trip. I love to fish, but Katie has never gone. So I had to introduce her to this great pastime! Here are some pics of our experience!

Katie was the winner! She caught the only fish and the biggest! Way to go Katie!

Beautiful Ocean City Maryland

We are home! Richard and I came home for about a week and a half to be with our family and to do some fun things. So far it's been pretty exciting! The day that we flew in, I had to go to the doctors to check out a wart that I had gotten frozen off in Provo. It had gotten really infected and the doctor gave me antibiotics through an IV. I happened to be allergic to this antibiotic which caused bumps to appear on my body. So then I had to get a shot of steroids in my butt and a shot of benadryl in my arm. So that was a great time!

Then the next day we left for the beach in Ocean City! We had a great time there as we enjoyed the beautiful weather, the sand, the ocean, the miniature golf and the Boardwalk! Here are some pics:

Within ten minutes of setting our stuff up on the first day at the beach, a wave came and soaked all of our stuff! Mom's cell phone didn't survive.

Just chillin...

Miniature Golfing

More miniature golfing

Mommy and Daddy enjoying a much deserved vacation

Dad working on his architecture skills

The waves weren't too big but they were enough to body surf and use the boogie boards

So that was our little trip to Ocean City Maryland. It was what we all needed! And Katie is coming tomorrow night, so we are gonna have plenty more to blog about! We have a lot of fun things planned!

Sunday Night Tradition

Recently, my roommates and I have started a new Sunday night tradition. My roommate served his mission in England and he brought home a sweet board game called "A really nasty horse racing game." Basically you each have your own horse and you place "bets" on who you think is going to win the race. So if you bet on the winning horse then you can make a lot money. But what makes it "really nasty" is that there are cards that can change the whole pace of the game. With one card you can kick certain horses out of the race or make them go slower. So sometimes it can get pretty intense if someone kicks the horse out that you bet on to win. It is not uncommon to yell and stand on your chair as you play! Come over and play sometime!

A New Outlook On Life

So today at church our Bishop showed us this clip. As you watch it, think about how it makes you feel. When I watched it, it made me feel so small and insignificant. But what is so amazing is that we have a Heavenly Father and an older Brother Jesus Christ who love and know each of us! They know each of our personalities, our trials, our weaknesses and our strengths. They smile when we are happy and they cry when we are sad. Even though we are such a small part in this universe, we are not small by any means to our Heavenly Father and Older Brother!

The Card to Success

So today I decided to get a library card at our public library in Provo. I'm very excited about this new investment in my life, because I've been getting pretty bored lately without Katie here, so I needed something that would keep me occupied and keep my mind working during the summer break! I know I'm 22 but what's more exciting than walking a couple of blocks and checking out a book to read! And plus, check out how cool the card is!

I've Been Tagged

Ok well I've never been tagged before, if you don't count the time in 1st grade when the little girlies chased me. But here are 5 unimportant things about me:

1) I have a dent in my chest (and no, I don't eat cereal out of it)

2) I love to play basketball by myself so I can imagine myself taking on the best players and beating them

3) I love to fish

4) I would rather use old things than go out and spend money on new things.

5) I don't have facebook

I tag anyone on the clover blog, nelson and nate black

This Is Me

Well this past Friday, Katie went back to Las Vegas for the summer. Let's just say that it wasn't the greatest day in the world. So this picture describes how I am without her. I know she will have fun with her family and is getting ready for some great things that will be happening in the near future, so that makes me excited!!! But she makes me so happy, even if it's through a phone call! Thanks Katie!

A Little Preview...Of The Future

So Katie is really creative and loves to do little crafts. So yesterday we decided to go and get some posterboard and some paint and show the world our talents. Well as you can see from the pictures, I have no talent whatsoever when it comes to being creative and painting. Katie on the other hand, is very talented with those things. I will be selling mine on ebay for nothing less than 500 dollars, so if there are any bidders, let me know! Katie will be keeping hers for future use. But you can expect more masterpieces in the future! We had a really good time! (But on a sad note, the Lakers lost in the finals last night. They played horribly and didn't really deserve to win the championship, so...congrats Celtics.)

Hikin' With My Girl!

Yesterday Katie and I decided to hike the "Y" Mountain! We left pretty early in the morning, so the weather was perfect. As we hiked up the "Y", the sun still hadn't peaked over the mountains, so we had a lot of shade. When we arrived at the "Y", the sun came out and heated everything up. It was a really pretty view over the cities of Provo and Orem! And it was also very enjoyable to be with Katie!

A Major Set Back In Life

Well its not really a set back in my life but my plans for the next few years have changed. I am planning on going to Dental School after I finish here at BYU, and recently I have been planning the classes that I will take so that I can graduate in two more years and then head to Dental School in Maryland. So after having planned out the classes for the next two years, I realized that there are other classes that I need to take to get prepared for the DAT, the test to get into Dental School. The amount of classes that I forgot to plan are sufficient enough to push my graduation date back another year. So i won't graduate now until 2011, which seems like so far away, but I figure I will be better prepared to be the best applicant that I can be to get into Dental School. Also I may be able to minor in something now, maybe spanish since I went to Bolivia on my mission. So, I was upset at first for having to stay another year at BYU, but I think, in the long run, it will help me out!

Shopping Spree!

I'm not one who likes to spend a lot of money and I'm especially not one who likes to spend money on clothes. So yesterday, I really wanted to go and buy something fun. I wasn't sure what I wanted to buy, but I wanted to get something cheap. So I went to T J Maxx and wandered around loking at the different stuff they had and I decided to buy some clothes. It was a big event haha! I decided to get some basketball shorts and a t shirt that is really comfortable. I know its not way nice clothing, but I love clothes that I can relax in, haha. I know its lame but thats my kind of shopping spreee!

Is There Anyone Who Can Beat Them?

Yes I know that it has been awhile since I last posted (I forgot my password to log in onto my blog, that's how long its been!) but we will forget about that and move on with our lives!
So for those of you who don't watch basketball, the NBA playoffs are now on, and the finals are going to start on June 5th! I am a big Lakers fan and I have watched almost every playoff game that they have played! They will be facing the Boston Celtics, who are a very good team, but not good enough. The Lakers have only lost three games in the playoffs, and they are undefeated at home. It doesn't matter who they play, they WILL win! Props to Kobe Bryant as well. He has carried the team and won the MVP for the season! GO LAKERS!

"The Beginning"

So to start off, I just want to say, if it wasn't for a church fireside that we just had, I wouldn't be doing this right now. However, I am really excited to start this adventure! I hope to be able to keep this updated, but I'm not gonna lie, I may not be successful. I'll keep you updated with sports, school and some other stuff that is going on. Tonight though, we had a church fireside and we were encouraged to use blogs to help people learn of our faith. So...I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lots of people know us as "Mormons", but the name is, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." Many people don't know too much, so hopefully I will be able to help you understand a little more. But I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ and for their love. I know that they live and want us to be happy! They really understand our feelings and comprehend what we are going through! I hope that we can all grow closer to them and rely on them in the good times and the bad!
